SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION WALKER REVOLVER TO HONOR THE MILLION DOLLAR COWBOY BAR
The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, in conjunction with A&A Engraving, announces the commission and release of the highly engraved Million Dollar Cowboy Bar commemorative Walker revolver. This magnificent revolver is finished in 24kt gold with engraved scenes pertinent to the rich history of the bar and its significance to the legacy of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
The history of the Colt Walker revolver is as rich as the history of the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar itself! The original Colt Walkers were built in 1847 for use by what became the Texas Rangers. The revolvers weighed nearly 5 pounds and were so huge that they were carried in a saddle scabbard instead of a belt holster. Its .44 caliber 9-inch barrel was designed to use a charge of black powder that was considered heavy in most rifles. A full charge of powder was rarely used as the recoil was so ferocious that most mounted men were unable to control it in combat. It was truly the .Magnum. of its day.
There were only about 1100 original Walkers produced and very few remain in the hands of advanced collectors today. Since Colt has not produced these revolvers for over 150 years, the fine craftsmen of Uberti were selected to replicate these revolvers to original factory specifications for the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar commemorative. The detailed engraving was created by A&A Engraving to the specifications of the bar owners.
Scenes engraved on this magnificent piece include, the outside of the bar in 1942 and 1955, the famous row of saddle bar stools, the Cowboy Bar logo and a panorama of the Tetons wrapped around the revolver.s cylinder.
Only 20 of the revolvers will ever be produced in order to give them best chance of value appreciation. They will be sequentially number 1 of 20, 2 of 20, 3 of 20, etc. Each revolver comes complete with a deluxe combination-locked presentation case and signed certificate of authenticity. The revolvers are available exclusively through A&A Engraving and will be release to collects at $2,795.00 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
